Goan Fish Curry
Ingredients:
2 lbs white fish filets
2 sprigs curry leaves
2 green chillies, slitted
Spice paste: 1 sliced onion (browned), 1 large tomato, 7-8 dry red chillies, 2 T. garlic paste, 1 T. Ginger paste, 1 cup grated coconut (roasted), ¼ cup tamarind paste, 2 T. ground coriander, 2 T. ground cumin, ½ t. tumeric, ½ t. red chili powder, salt to taste
Method:
- Grind all spice paste ingredients together.
- Heat oil- add chillies with masala paste for 5 minutes. Add 2 cups water .
- Simmer for 10 min. Add fish & curry leaves.
- Simmer until fish is white & flaky
